Livia came to meet her husband in France from Brazil. As she adjusted to her new life, the language barrier was often an obstacle to her integration. So her family gave her the most wonderful gift: French conversation workshops.
Livia is Brazilian et she’s been living in France for 2 years. Her husband is from Bordeaux, that’s why she came to settle in the region. She tells us that when she arrived, she didn’t speak any French at all. She felt very isolated because of that. Today, she has reached a B1 level by participating in our French conversation workshop and continues to learn the language every day.
Livia lacked confidence in speaking French outside her home, such as at restaurants, at the doctor’s, or at the prefecture. When her husband realized this, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He then offers his wife the opportunity to learn French through conversation workshops at the Alliance Française, so she can finally feel comfortable in her new life in Bordeaux.

Livia has now been studying at the Alliance Française of Bordeaux for a few months. She regularly takes part in our French classes through themed workshops such as conversation and phonetics.
