Culture

Because learning French also means discovering French culture, each month we offer you the opportunity to take part in various cultural, tourist and sporting activities to discover Bordeaux and the local culture. Essential for a complete immersion !

  • All our activities are provided or accompanied by a French-speaking facilitator.
  • The activities are reserved for students following our French courses.
  • Registration required at the cultural service of the Alliance Française.

Darwin Street-Art Tour

Accompanied by our guide Jean, explore the Right Bank and the Espace Darwin, with a special focus on the neighborhood’s street art.

Petanque Tournament

Thursday, September 12

Test your skills by participating in a pétanque tournament, a friendly French sport that is particularly popular in spring and summer.

Interalliance Challenge

Compete against students from other Alliances Françaises on general knowledge questions about the French-speaking world, with a national final on October 1 in Paris.

Excursion to Saint-Émilion

Discover the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, with a tour of its underground monuments, followed by a visit to a château where you’ll be offered two glasses of wine.

Introduction to bouldering

Bouldering is becoming increasingly popular in France. In an old winery, come and discover this sport, learn its basic techniques and climb to the top.

CLIMAX FESTIVAL

Join us in Darwin for the 10th Climax Festival, whose theme is “a climate of peace”.
