Our program of the month


Because learning French also means discovering French culture, each month we offer you the opportunity to take part in various cultural, tourist and sporting activities to discover Bordeaux and the local culture. Essential for a complete immersion !

  • All our activities are provided or accompanied by a French-speaking facilitator.
  • The activities are reserved for students following our French courses.
  • Registration required at the cultural service of the Alliance Française.

Guinguette Chez Alriq : Cumbia night

Friday, June 9th
7:00 – 11:00 pm.

Make the most of the return of fine weather by attending a Cumbia evening at Guinguette Chez Alriq, in a relaxed atmosphere on the banks of the Garonne.


Guided tour of Bordeaux

Wednesday, June 14th
2:30 – 5:00 pm.

Visit the center of Bordeaux accompanied by a volunteer guide, who will share with you original and unknown historical anecdotes.

French Apéro

Thursday, June 15th
6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Come and meet the students of the Alliance Française and practice French or other languages of your choice over a drink at the Central Hostel !

Excursion to the Bay of Arcachon

Saturday June 17th
9:00am. – 7:00 pm.

Climb to the top of the famous Dune du Pilat, then enjoy an oyster tasting at the port of Larros, before discovering the town and beach of Arcachon.

Cultural workshop : Bordeaux Fête le Vin

Monday June 19th
2:30 – 4:00 pm.

Attend this Bordeaux Fête le Vin workshop led by our teacher Bénédicte to enrich your knowledge and vocabulary around oenology.


Cooking classes

Wednesday, June 21st
1:00 – 3:30 pm.

With the help of a professional chef, learn to cook a homemade cordon bleu with goat’s cheese, accompanied by penne with cream.


Petanque Tournament

Wednesday June 28th
3:00 – 5:00 pm.

Test your skills by participating in a pétanque tournament, a friendly French sport that is particularly popular in spring and summer.

Cruise on the Garonne

Thursday, June 29th
4:15 – 6:30 pm.

Enjoy a breathtaking and original view of Bordeaux with commentary from an experienced guide, while sipping two glasses of Bordeaux wine.

At the start of summer, the whole of Bordeaux will be celebrating the Fête de la Musique, which is celebrated all over Europe.

More than a hundred concerts are on offer all over the city for an evening of musical excitement!
