Culture

Because learning French also means discovering French culture, each month we offer you the opportunity to take part in various cultural, tourist and sporting activities to discover Bordeaux and the local culture. Essential for a complete immersion !

  • All our activities are provided or accompanied by a French-speaking facilitator.
  • The activities are reserved for students following our French courses.
  • Registration required at the cultural service of the Alliance Française.
Upcoming activities

Guided tour of Bordeaux

Tuesday, April 30
2:30pm – 4:30 pm.

Visit downtown Bordeaux accompanied by a volunteer guide, who will share with you explanations of the city’s history and architecture.

Cheese tasting

Thursday, May 2nd
2:45 – 4:30 pm

Enjoy a tasting of several French cheeses with a glass of wine, with explanations from the cheesemaker on the origins of the cheeses tasted.

Excursion to the Bay of Arcachon

Sunday May 5th
09.15am – 7pm

In the morning, climb to the top of the famous Dune du Pilat to admire the scenery, before having a picnic on the beach and discovering the town of Arcachon and its neighborhoods.

Visit of the Chartrons

With our volunteer guide Jean, stroll and discover the famous Bordeaux district of Chartrons, its Saint-Louis church and its narrow streets full of authenticity.

NIGHT OF THE CATHEDRALS

On Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, Saint-André Cathedral offers a colorful evening for the Cathedral Night !
