ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DIPLOMAS
The Alliance Francaise diplomas are part of
ALTE
(Association of Language testers in Europe) and the cadre
Européen and allow students to have a framework
of references at the European level, in order to find equivalences
between the different language diplomas.

The TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Français)
gives an evaluation of your capacities in French.

DELF/DALF
The DELF and DALF are diplomas delivered by the Ministry of National
Education. Only for foreigners, these diplomas attest the holders
competence in French.

-CEFP1
: Certificat Elémentaire de Français 1er Degré
validates
the student's basic knowledge of French in common situations of
everyday life.

CEFP2 : Certificat Elémentaire de Français 2ème
Degré
validates
the student's intermediate level in French, which permits him to
communicate in a satisfactory way in everyday life.

D.L. : Diplôme de langue visé par le Ministère
de l'Education Nationale
validates
the student's advanced level in French in his professionnal life
abroad.

The
TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) prepared by the
CIEP (Centre international d'études pédagogiques) places the
candidates inone of the six levels of the European Council.
There are obligatory and optional tests that allow the candidates
to reach the level 2 of the DELF, the DALF or the University (depending
on the level obtained). A
certificate is given according to the results.

DILF:
Diplôme Initial de Langue Française
The DILF (Diplôme
Initial de Langue Française,
or initial diploma in French language)
is a qualification in French as a foreign language that assesses
basic users (level A1.1 of the Council of Europe's Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages). It is an initial step towards
the DELF and DALF.
Like the DELF and DALF,
the DILF is awarded by the French Ministry of Education.
