Terms of enrolment
Enrolment for tuition at the School and the administrative procedures for a stay in France are subject to simple but precise rules whichmust be adhered to correctly and on time in order that your move to Bordeaux goes as smoothly as possible.

Procedures to follow :

1/ Complete the enrolment form
2/ Send it by internet, by post or fax (+ 33 5 56 00 56 10)

3/ For confirmation of your enrolment, you will be asked to forward the payment for the course you have chosen :

This payment includes :
a- the price of course chosen for 1 or 2 months in advance and for the duration chosen (full payment on arrival).
b- enrolment fees :42 € (43 € on the 1st of october 2008)

c- in addition, on arrival :

>>>>>> The method and the exercices books (about 25 euros at Librairie Mollat)
d- in addition, if applicable :
>>>>>> The bank transfer charges : 17.50 € (if you pay by bank transfer and if you live out of the European Community).
>>>>>> Administrative costs for finding a hosting family :26 € (27 € on the 1st october 2008)

4/ On reception, the Alliance will send you a receipt and a certificate of enrolment to enable you to obtain your visa.

5/ If you have chosen to stay with a family, mention on the form, the type of accommodation you require (own bedroom, bedroom with breakfast, half board).

6/ Level test. You will be sent a written test to complete and to return eight days before your arrival.
Methods of payment
On your arrival
 

You have the following choices to pay for your course :

a- by cheque, EURO cheque, Travellers cheque, made payable to the Alliance Française de Bordeaux.

b- by bank transfer :

c- Postal order (join the receipt).

d- You can pay in cash or by credit card at the Alliance in Bordeaux

 
You must present :

-Identity card ( residence permit or passport with visa)

-Long stay visa

-2 identity photos

-Insurance certificate ( for third party liability, illness, accident, etc).

 The first day of tuition

On the first day of the session, if you attend the morning class, you must arrive at 08.45 am with 2 identity photos. The course is from 9.00 to 12.00 am.
if you attend the afternoon class, you must arrive at 01.45 pm with 2 pictures of you. The course is from 2.00 to 4.00 pm.
      General conditions (extracts)
  • You must be 18 years old ( or 16 with parental authorisation).
    •
  • All sessions started are due for the duration mentioned in the enrolment form by the student. In case of absence or early departure, no reimbursement can be made.
  • The tariffs are fixed ( to note however : if there are 2 holidays during 1 session, one of them will be made up ).
  • If you have to postpone or cancel your stay, you have to inform the manager by letter at least 2 weeks before the course starts. The sum which has been received for the course will either be carried forward or reimbursed subject to a deduction of 100 €.
  • If you have obtained an entry visa to France with the certificate from the Alliance Française, you must attend the duration of the course as mentioned in the certificate. In default of this, you cannot in any way be reimbursed and we will be obliged to inform the prefecture.
    CAUTION : A tourist visa cannot be extended in France.
  • If a visa has been refused, the amount of 42 € will be deducted from the reimbursement of the course to cover administrative costs.

  • For an enrolment of 3 months or more, you must pay for 2 months course in advance. On arrival, you have to pay for the whole duration of your stay.
